Flyers lose out to long ball

After a promising ten minute opening spell in which the Flyers played all the football, two long balls out to the Edson frontman was all it took to give them a comfortable 2-0 lead. But our boys show great spirit these days and worked some good openings thanks to the great passing of Callum Hall-Egan and Aidan Parker. Then for the third match running a very poor decision for a penalty kick seem to take the wind out of their sails.Sam Brazier made a brilliant save attempt but the twenty four foot goals were just too wide for even Sam's brilliance. Another ball over the top gave Edson a 4-0 advantage at half time.

The second half was a different story and the Flyers can be proud of the way they played football with Samuel Stubbings grabing two goals and Levi Sparks netting with a fine stike until once again their frontman steam rollered our defence to give a somewhat flattering scoreline.Special mention must be made of Guy Hampshire who played superbly well, not wasting a single pass.

The results aren't going our way just yet but we are team in flux with new players settling in and still more to come. I can see the improvements and the collective team spirit in every game. The future is bright.

Well done boys!

Lee
